ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police say they used a stun gun on a 37-year-old Allentown man who is accused of firing gunshots.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to the report of a person firing gunshots in the 100 block of West Tilghman Street shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from the Allentown Police Department.<\/p>\n
Arriving officers found\u00a0Karriem Muhammad Jr., who matched the description of the person who fired the shots, city police said.<\/p>\n
City police said\u00a0Muhammad ran away and was reaching near his waist. Police used a stun gun on him after he refused lawful verbal commands to stop, city police said in the news release.<\/p>\n
Officers recovered a firearm from Muhammad, police said.<\/p>\n
