Another closed checkpoint at Terminal F is <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/phlairport\/status\/2039887782194094575?s=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">set to reopen on Tuesday, April 7, PHL said<\/a>. Both are returning to their regular hours.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/security-line-tsa-philadelphia-international-airport-today-terminal-c-precheck\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Terminal C security checkpoint, which only serves TSA PreCheck travelers<\/a>, reopened on its normal schedule Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Friday morning, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phl.org\/flights\/security-information\/checkpoint-hours\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">webpage tracking TSA security line wait times at PHL<\/a> showed the longest wait was about six minutes at Terminal D\/E.<\/p>\n<p>TSA and PHL were working through staffing constraints as TSA officers went without pay in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/philadelphia\/news\/philadelphia-international-airport-tsa-wait-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">the longest government shutdown in U.S. history<\/a>. The partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security \u2014 which funds and oversees TSA \u2014 led to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/tsa-officer-absence-levels-airports-dhs-workers-back-pay\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hundreds of TSA officers quitting nationwide<\/a>, while others used sick time.<\/p>\n<p>Travel horror stories emerged from some airports, like Houston&#8217;s George Bush Intercontinental Airport, where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/tsa-wait-times-6-hours-ice-homeland-security-agents-airports\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wait times stretched to as long as six hours<\/a> last month. Philly experienced longer lines and wait times as well, and at one point recommended travelers arrive 2.5 hours before a domestic flight or 3.5 hours before an international flight.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-order-tsa-pay-as-dhs-shutdown-drags-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Trump signed an executive order<\/a> telling DHS to resume paying TSA officers.
