Friday Flicks at the Fountain.<\/a><\/p>\nKicking off on Friday, May 1, 2026, the free, family-friendly series will take place at the scenic John Welsh Memorial Fountain in West Fairmount Park (across from the Please Touch Museum)\u2014offering a perfect setting for movie nights under the stars featuring a rotation of food trucks.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s series celebrates the 150th anniversary of the Centennial Exposition, the first official World\u2019s Fair held in the United States, which took place in West Fairmount Park.<\/p>\n
Each movie in the lineup ties into an inventor or invention theme, honoring the groundbreaking innovations\u2014like the telephone and typewriter\u2014that were showcased during the 1876 exposition.<\/p>\n
