The Allentown Fair will host Lehigh Valley artists as part of a \u201cfestival-style\u201d showcase this summer.<\/p>\n
Six local groups will perform Sept. 6 at the fair\u2019s Grandstand Stage for an event called \u201cLocal Legends Live,\u201d the first of its kind for the fair, now in its 174th year.<\/p>\n
The six groups are The Aardvarks, Scott Marshall and The Highway Souls, Strange Culture, Common Bond, Stereotype and Social Call, the fair said in a news release. Music starts at 2 p.m. Official set times will be announced later.<\/p>\n
The event is a \u201ccelebration of the region\u2019s rich musical talent,\u201d the fair said. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. April 10.<\/p>\n
The fair will be held from Sept. 2-7 at the Allentown Fairgrounds.
