Law enforcement officials in Bensalem said a “suspicious death” investigation is now underway after a woman’s remains were found “emaciated” in a home on Saturday.<\/p>\n
According to police, officers responding for a well-being check at a home along the 5000 block of Hunters Court South in Bensalem on Saturday, found the body of Cynthia Bouffard, 70, of Bensalem.<\/p>\n
Police said the woman’s remains “appeared to be emaciated and had been deceased for some time” when officers discovered her body in the living room of the home. <\/p>\n
An autopsy will be done to determine Bouffard’s cause and manner of death, officials said. <\/p>\n
Law enforcement officials said that Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn and the Bensalem Police Department are expected to provide more information once the autopsy results are complete.<\/p>\n
