CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) \u2014 A mass shooting has been reported to have taken place at Lincoln University on Saturday evening, according to officials.<\/p>\n

The Chester County District Attorney confirmed there are multiple victims involved. <\/p>\n

An investigation is underway and people are being asked to avoid the campus and surrounding area. <\/p>\n

Chester County Commissioner Eric Roe posted on Facebook announcing the shooting, asking the public to pray for the staff and students there. <\/p>\n

This weekend marked homecoming weekend for the Historically Black College and University (HBCU). <\/p>\n

The shooting reportedly happened near the school’s football field. <\/p>\n

It was reported around 9 p.m., which is when the school’s tailgate and yardfest event was happening. <\/p>\n

The school is located about 50 miles from Philadelphia, on the Baltimore Pike in western Chester County. <\/p>\n

CBS News Philadelphia <\/a>spoke to a witness who said they saw CPR being administered to a victim. <\/p>\n
