The plane landed on the roadway on eastbound I\u201178 in Weisenberg Township, Pennsylvania.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The 1995 Commander 114B aircraft, operated by a 65-year-old man from Michigan, departed from Solberg, New Jersey, and was traveling to Indiana when the pilot reported experiencing unknown engine problems, according to a police press release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pilot tried to land at a nearby airport, but instead used the highway to land. He and his passenger, a 34-year-old woman from New Jersey, were not hurt, according to police. No one on the ground was injured.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eastbound traffic was closed and detoured for about four hours before the reopening. Westbound traffic was not impacted. The plane was later towed to a nearby airport.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
