READING, Pa. – Authorities say a suspect is in custody as they investigate a deadly overnight shooting at the DoubleTree hotel in Reading.<\/p>\n

District Attorney John Adams tells 69 News the incident happened around 12:50 a.m. on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The Berks County Coroner\u2019s Office confirmed that one person was killed in the incident, which took place inside the hotel near the lobby area.<\/p>\n

The DA says the suspect, Hamlet Vargas, 46, has been taken into custody.<\/p>\n
