A long journey is now underway in Southwestern Pennsylvania, highlighting community members\u2019 concerns about immigration enforcement.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, the non-profit organization Frontline DIGNITY launched an eight-day walking campaign \u201cFrontline on Foot.\u201d<\/p>\n
The public walk will bring participants from their starting point in Pittsburgh to the Moshannon Valley Processing Center, which Frontline says is the largest ICE detention facility in the Northeast.<\/p>\n
Among the community members and advocates who spoke at the walk\u2019s kickoff was Paulette Cordova-Flores. She\u2019s the sister of Randy Cordova-Flores<\/a>, who was detained by ICE back in February and remains in custody.<\/p>\n \u201cThe hardest part is visiting him,\u201d Flores told attendees at the kickoff. \u201cWe cannot hug him. Every time I see him, it\u2019s through a glass.
