The single-engine 1995 Commander 114B was forced to land in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 78 in Weisenberg Township, Lehigh County, around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.Emily Rivera’s dashcam was rolling as the plane dropped down directly in front of her. “As it got closer, I was like, ‘That plane’s really freaking close to me.’ It was crazy. It was crazy. I was holding my breath the entire time,” she said.Emergency landingThe pilot, who Pennsylvania State Police identified as a 65-year-old man from Michigan, was headed to Indiana for a March Madness game when he reported engine problems and attempted to fly to a nearby airport. Instead, he was forced to land the plane between traffic on the highway.The pilot and his passenger, a 34-year-old woman from New Jersey, were not hurt.InvestigationThe Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident along with state police.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
