Seven new officers have been sworn in to the City of Erie Police Department today. This class is part of the continuous effort by the Erie Police Department to recruit those who directly represent those in the community, allowing diversity within the department. Today Erie Police welcomed in the first Vietnamese officer and two more female officers.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the Erie Police Department, we are a family that knows the badge doesn\u2019t make you who you are, your character does,\u201d said Police Chief Rick Lorah. \u201cI am honored to have these new officers wear the badge with pride, serve with humility, and never forget that the trust of our Erie community is the most important thing we carry.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
