{"id":158835,"date":"2026-04-06T21:21:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T21:21:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/158835\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T21:21:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T21:21:06","slug":"wawa-recalls-multiple-drinks-philadelphia-area-locations-affected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/158835\/","title":{"rendered":"Wawa recalls multiple drinks, Philadelphia-area locations affected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From Philly and the Pa. suburbs to South Jersey and Delaware, what would you like WHYY News to cover? <a href=\"#Section1\">Let us know!<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>Wawa has recalled store-branded iced tea lemon, iced tea diet lemon, diet lemonade and fruit punch pints sold in Philadelphia-area stores.\n<\/p>\n<p>The 16-ounce beverages have been recalled, as they \u201cmay contain an undeclared milk allergen\u201d caused by a temporary equipment issue, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/wawa.a.bigcontent.io\/v1\/static\/Wawa_WBC_Allergen_Recall_040326_Final\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">press release<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>The affected drinks carry sell-by dates of May 15 for iced tea lemon; May 18 for iced tea diet lemon and diet lemonade; and May 19 for fruit punch. The drinks were removed from hundreds of locations across Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia. Wawa says no other store-branded beverages are affected by the recall, nor are stores in any of the states mentioned.\n  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,\u201d the release said.\n<\/p>\n<p>To date, no illnesses have been reported resulting from consuming potentially affected drinks.\n<\/p>\n<p>People who have purchased any of these beverages are urged to dispose of them immediately and to contact the Wawa Customer Contact Center at 1-800-444-9292.
