Representing Lehigh Valley Health Network, Karvoski said the Spring Career Expo was the first one she\u2019s attended at Scranton. Karvoski said many of the students she\u2019d talked with were interested in rehab, which is what she hires for, but she also explained that she was looking for future employees in almost every field.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a variety of positions available, everything from direct patient care, like RNs and physical therapy, to not taking care of patients, so security, payroll, human resources,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Scranton students were also hopeful that the career expo\u00a0be fruitful for them, such as Liam Clare ’27, a criminal justice major from East Stroudsburg, who hopes to work in homeland security.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel I\u2019ll gain some connections here and grow in the future with my career,\u201d Clare said.<\/p>\n
He also credited Scranton\u2019s ROTC program for helping him become more disciplined and goal-oriented.<\/p>\n
\u201cWaking up early at 6 a.m., doing PT, that camaraderie and moving forward with your goals \u2026 I think it really put me on task, motivated me a little bit more, gave me a drive,\u201d Clare explained.<\/p>\n
The career expos\u00a0have great effect since Scranton students are hired at remarkable rates.<\/p>\n
