The Bethlehem Central School District plans to partner with TSL Adventures to provide a universal pre-kindergarten (UPK) program for up to 105 four-year-olds during the 2026-27 school year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
UPK is a free program open to district families with children who will be four years old by Dec. 1, 2026 (children born between Dec. 2, 2021 and Dec. 1, 2022).<\/p>\n
The UPK program provided by TSL Adventures will be located at their existing location at 339 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054, and at a new TSL location planned for 333 Delaware Avenue in Delmar.<\/p>\n
Application deadline is May 1 at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
Eligible families can apply now through Friday, May 1 at 3 p.m. to be included in the 2026-27 UPK lottery. Families will use the district\u2019s Aspen Parent Portal to complete the application materials (see Aspen information below).<\/p>\n
All UPK openings will be filled through a lottery process. Selection will be random.\u00a0\u00a0The lottery will be held on Wednesday, May 13. All eligible students who have applications that have been fully completed and submitted by the May 1 application deadline will be part of the lottery. The total number of available spots will be determined through the application, lottery and enrollment process.\u00a0All applicants will be notified of their lottery position by email and regular mail.<\/p>\n
Children who are not placed in the program initially will be placed on a waiting list and families will be contacted if space becomes available throughout the year.<\/p>\n
Apply for the UPK Lottery using Aspen<\/p>\n
Applications for the UPK lottery will be accepted online through the Aspen online portal. Families who do not already have an Aspen account must create one to complete the application. Families who need assistance with the online registration process via Aspen should contact District Registrar Marina Bender at registration@bethlehemschools.org<\/a> or call 518-439-2442.<\/p>\n How to Submit the Online Registration Application Parents\/guardians of current BC students already have an Aspen<\/a> account and those parents\/guardians must use their existing Aspen accounts. If you forgot your password, contact the BCSD Help Desk at helpdesk@bethlehemschools.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n New district families<\/p>\n Those who don\u2019t have an Aspen<\/a> account must create one in Aspen. To create an account, you must log in on a desktop or laptop computer, not a mobile device. This is only required when creating an account. Once an account has been created you can log in from a mobile device or computer.<\/p>\n REGISTER AND LOG IN TO ASPEN<\/p>\n On the Aspen home page<\/a>, under Login ID you can select \u201cRequest an account.\u201d Once you have an Aspen account, use Aspen to register for UPK lottery: Go to https:\/\/aspen.bethlehemcentral.org\/aspen\/logon.do<\/a> and log in REQUIRED DOCUMENts<\/p>\n There are several documents you will need to have ready to upload to Aspen. \nCurrent BCSD families<\/p>\n
Once your account has been created, you will be able to submit a UPK application during the open registration window. If you need assistance creating your account, contact the BCSD Help Desk at helpdesk@bethlehemschools.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
The application will take about 20 minutes via computer to complete. Please read all information below:<\/p>\n
\nOn the left-hand side of the homepage, click \u201cStart a New Student Registration\u201d click \u201cNew Student\u201d
\nClick \u201cInitiate\u201d\\
\nSelect UPK under Type of Registration and select the 2026-27 school year to begin your registration.
\nComplete all of the tabbed sections, upload the required documents, and then press \u201cSubmit.\u201d
\nIf you need to stop your online application and come back later, select \u201cSave & Close.\u201d
\nPlease note there is no transportation for UPK so please for any questions related to transportation, select \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n
