READING, Pa. –\u00a0An argument over parking in one Reading neighborhood has left a person dead and another behind bars.<\/p>\n
43-year-old Luis Clavell-Gierbolini is charged with first and third-degree murder, aggravated assault and related offenses.<\/p>\n
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Muhlenberg Street for a shooting just before 7 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
Arriving officers found the victim, later identified as\u00a036-year-old Elimelec Vazquez, lying in the street. He was transported to Reading Hospital where he died of his injuries.<\/p>\n
Court documents state that a witness told police an argument broke out between\u00a0Vazquez and another individual after the victim warned them they better not have hit his car as they parallel parked behind it.<\/p>\n
Vazquez\u00a0and the individual allegedly began to argue from their porches, which were only a few houses away from one another. A witness told police\u00a0Vazquez then walked over to the individual and demanded they come off their porch to fight.<\/p>\n
That’s when police say Clavell-Gierbolini emerged from the house with a handgun and allegedly began to chase Vazquez. A witness told police they heard gunshots and saw Vazquez fall to the ground.<\/p>\n
Clavell-Gierbolini is being held at Berks County Jail without bail.<\/p>\n
