Three people hopped out of a car and fatally shot a 20-year-old woman Tuesday evening in West Philadelphia, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The gunfire also struck two other individuals \u2013 a 55-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man \u2013 who were later hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to police.<\/p>\n
Investigators said the shooters pulled up in a dark-colored Mazda at around 6:20 p.m. and unloaded nearly 30 bullets on a group of people on the 5900 block of Market Street.<\/p>\n
Multiple news<\/a> sources<\/a>, citing PPD Chief Inspector Scott Small, said the younger woman was holding a pizza box and was shot several times at \u201cpoint-blank range.\u201d Authorities identified her Wednesday as Imani Ringgold. She died shortly after the shooting at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.<\/p>\n Police said the gunmen got back into the Mazda and headed east on Market. There was no word on a possible motive.
