Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents assigned to help secure Philadelphia International Airport during the government shutdown are expected to leave as early as Thursday.<\/p>\n

The announcement came during a Philadelphia City Council budget hearing<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The ICE agents were there to assist TSA agents, while they worked through the shutdown without pay. <\/p>\n

Philadelphia was one of a few cities chosen to have ICE agents help passengers through security lines and backups.<\/p>\n

“The officers that were sent to Philadelphia, from what I understand, were really well trained officers.
