HARRISBURG, PA \u2014 Two western Pennsylvania amusement companies pleaded guilty this week to felony corrupt organizations charges tied to the distribution of illegal video gaming devices, the Pennsylvania Attorney General\u2019s Office announced.<\/p>\n
Buffalo Skills Games, Inc. and J.J. Amusement, Inc. agreed to dissolve their businesses and forfeit $5 million in assets as part of the plea agreement.<\/p>\n
Investigators seized nearly 400 illegal gambling devices from more than 60 locations across multiple counties, including Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Crawford, Indiana, Somerset, Venango, Erie, Washington, Armstrong and Westmoreland.<\/p>\n
The Pennsylvania State Police assisted the Attorney General\u2019s Office in a series of seizures conducted in 2024 at bars, gas stations and convenience stores.<\/p>\n
Attorney General Dave Sunday said the resolution ends a large-scale operation involving illegal gaming machines.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis resolution secures a multimillion-dollar forfeiture for the Commonwealth, while assuring the companies will cease to exist,\u201d Sunday said.<\/p>\n
He added that illegal gambling operations can contribute to broader criminal activity and harm consumers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey can fuel criminal enterprises, exploit individuals addicted to gambling, and rip off consumers with games that are not regulated,\u201d Sunday said.<\/p>\n
The case was prosecuted by the Office of Attorney General\u2019s Gaming Enforcement Section.<\/p>\n
