A section of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Northeast Extension will be closed early Sunday morning for general roadway maintenance.<\/p>\n
The closure is scheduled for northbound Interstate 476 between Quakertown (exit 44) and Lehigh Valley (exit 56) between midnight and 5 a.m. Southbound lanes will remain open.<\/p>\n
During the closure, travelers should take the following detour:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Route 663 north for 3.3 miles<\/p>\n
\u2022 Route 309 north for 9.3 miles<\/p>\n
\u2022 Interstate 78 west for 6.3 miles<\/p>\n
\u2022 Route 309 north for 1 mile<\/p>\n
\u2022 Tilghman Street west or Route 22 west for 1.1 miles<\/p>\n
\u2022 Re-enter at Lehigh Valley interchange.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the mainline turnpike (Interstate 76) westbound will be shut down from Downingtown (exit 312) to Morgantown (exit 298) in Chester and Berks counties between midnight and 5 a.m. Sunday for general maintenance. Also, the exit ramps to Route 29 (exit 320) in Chester County will be closed from 11:59 p.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday with two 15-to-30 minute closures to the turnpike entrance ramp between 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
