BOGGS TWP. \u2013 A 33-year-old Ridgway, Elk County, man was killed in a car vs. tanker truck crash along Route 28\/66 in Boggs Township, Armstrong County, on Tuesday, April 8.<\/p>\n
Armstrong County Coroner Brian K. Myers reports that\u00a0Nathan Anthony Brown was fatally injured when the car he was driving crossed the center line and hit an oncoming tractor trailer.<\/p>\n
Myers said that Brown was trapped in the driver\u2019s seat of his vehicle.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on Route 28\/66, at the intersection of Hoover Road in Boggs Township, just before 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
The report states that Brown was driving north in a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox when the vehicle crossed over the centerline, striking a 2025 Kenworth tractor trailer.<\/p>\n
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by Armstrong County Chief Deputy Coroner Robert Bellas. An autopsy will not be performed. Toxicology results will not be available for several weeks.<\/p>\n
The coroner\u2019s office was assisted at the scene by Templeton-Pine Township VFD, Distant VFD, Dayton District VFD, Kittanning #6 VFD, Kittanning #6 EMS, Rayburn Township VFD, and state police from Kittanning.<\/p>\n
Route 28\/66 was closed well into the evening from the crash.<\/p>\n
