{"id":162632,"date":"2026-04-10T19:31:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T19:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/162632\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T19:31:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T19:31:08","slug":"two-pa-companies-named-among-100-best-companies-to-work-for-reading-eagle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/162632\/","title":{"rendered":"Two PA companies named among \u2018100 Best Companies to Work For\u2019 \u2013 Reading Eagle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two Pennsylvania companies have been named to this year\u2019s list of \u201c100 Best Companies to Work For,\u201d by Fortune Media and Great Places to Work.<\/p>\n<p>Restaurant and convenience chain Sheetz, headquartered in Altoona, has been named to the list for the 11th consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p>Power Home Remodeling, a national full-service, exterior home remodeler headquartered in Chester, Delaware County, was named to the list for the eighth year.<\/p>\n<p>The annual ranking recognizes companies that build a high-trust workplace environment, measured through Great Place To Work\u2019s survey platform, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz<\/p>\n<p>With locations in seven states \u2014 including in Berks and Montgomery counties \u2014 Sheetz placed 32nd on this year\u2019s list.<\/p>\n<p>The ranking is the highest placement ever for Sheetz, the company said in a press release. In addition, for the ninth consecutive year, Sheetz is the only convenience retailer included on the list.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing recognized on this list for more than a decade is deeply meaningful and reflects the culture our employees have helped build over time,\u201d said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz, in a statement. \u201cAs a family-owned and operated business, our people are at the heart of what we do in the communities we serve. This recognition reinforces our commitment to support our employees, invest in their growth, and ensure they feel valued every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This selection follows Sheetz\u2019s recent announcement that it will hire 1,540 employees company-wide during hiring events at each of its more than 810 locations.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz also ranked second in the most recent Best Workplaces in Retail list by Fortune.<\/p>\n<p>Sheetz has just over 27,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>Power Home Remodeling<\/p>\n<p>Power Home Remodeling placed 20th on this year\u2019s list. The company operates 26 offices in 18 states and has just under 5,000 employees.<\/p>\n<p>The company specializes in exterior home renovations and installations, including windows, roofing, entry doors, siding, attic insulation and solar.<\/p>\n<p>Since its founding in 1992, the family-owned and operated company has served more than 500,000 clients and completed more than 1 million projects, according to information on the company\u2019s website.<\/p>\n<p>Survey Methodology<\/p>\n<p>To determine the ranking, confidential feedback from more than 1.3 million employees in the U.S. is matched against HR data from participating companies. Only companies with consistently high survey responses across the 60 statements that comprise the Trust Index Survey earn placement on the list, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrust in the organization is a leading indicator of business performance,\u201d Michael C.
