Erie County Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center serving residents across Erie County, announced the appointment of Troy Chaffin as its new chief executive officer, according to a news release.<\/p>\n
Chaffin brings more than 16 years of public health and health care leadership experience to Erie County Community Health Center.<\/p>\n
Most recently, he served as chief operating officer for Lorain County Health & Dentistry, another federally qualified health center, where he worked for more than eight years.<\/p>\n
Prior to that role, Chaffin spent eight years with the Erie County Health Department, where he served as assistant health commissioner before departing in 2017.<\/p>\n
A native of Collins in northern Huron County, Chaffin holds a bachelor of arts degree in public health from the University of Mount Union and a master of public health administration from the University of Toledo.<\/p>\n
In his new role, Chaffin will lead Erie County Community Health Center\u2019s continued growth and commitment to providing accessible, high-quality and integrated health care services to the community, including primary care, dental services, behavioral health and pharmacy services, the release said.<\/p>\n

Erie County Health Commissioner Peter Schade welcomed Chaffin\u2019s leadership and deep connection to the region.<\/p>\n
