Spring bog walk: Delaware Highlands Conservancy Spring Bog Walk at Long Swamp, Camp Speers YMCA, April 18, 10 a.m.-noon, Formed more than 10,000 years ago as glaciers retreated, Long Swamp is a rare peatland ecosystem that supports a variety of ericaceous (acid-loving) shrubs, including leatherleaf, early azalea and huckleberry. Open-air art show and fair: Grey Towers Heritage Association is hosting \u201cArt at the Towers: An Open-Air Art Show and Fair,\u201d April 25, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (rain date April 26) on the grounds of Grey Towers, 151 Grey Towers Drive, Milford. This event celebrates both local creativity and the rich artistic heritage of the Pinchot family, who were not only leaders in conservation but also strong supporters of the arts. Artists will be working on-site throughout the day, giving visitors a unique opportunity to observe the creative process, engage with artists and purchase original works.
