Police charged a New Hampshire man with stealing a car from a valet service at Geisinger Community Medical Center, crashing it and then fleeing the scene on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
At about 7 a.m., Jeffrey Hall, 57, of Nashua, was leaving the Scranton hospital when he pushed employee Tim Neiman, as he stood at the valet podium, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n
He continued to the curb, where valet service employee Eugene Wasko was parking a Jeep Wrangler. Hall pulled Wasko from the vehicle, causing the employee to stumble, police said.<\/p>\n
Hall got into the Jeep and drove about 30 feet before hitting two parked cars.<\/p>\n
Surveillance footage showed Hall then exiting the vehicle, putting his hands in his pockets and calmly walking away, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Hall and another man had been admitted to the hospital the day before following a traffic accident.<\/p>\n
Officers noted that Hall did not have any head or other injuries.<\/p>\n
A search following his arrest yielded a pipe containing marijuana residue.<\/p>\n
When police questioned Hall about the incident, he said he did not remember taking the vehicle, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Hall is facing felony charges of robbery and theft, in addition to misdemeanor charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.<\/p>\n
He remains at the Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.<\/p>\n
