PITTSBURGH \u2014 SWAT was called after a man was stabbed in the head and attacked with a baseball bat in Pittsburgh\u2019s Perry South neighborhood Thursday night. <\/p>\n
Pittsburgh Police were called to the 2100 block of Federal Street for a reported fight and stabbing around 9:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Public Safety officials said preliminary information shows two men assaulted another man with a baseball bat and stabbed him in the head.<\/p>\n
The victim took himself to a nearby EMS station, where he was evaluated by paramedics and then taken to a hospital in critical condition. He was later upgraded to stable condition.<\/p>\n
The SWAT team was called to respond to a home in the 2100 block of Koerner Avenue, where the two suspects were believed to be. The drone and K-9 unit were also called to assist. No suspects were found inside.<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh Police continue to investigate. <\/p>\n
\u201cI saw the cops out here, SWAT team and all that. My cousin called me from across the street \u2013 that\u2019s why I looked out the door,\u201d said Millard Horne III, who lives along Federal Street.<\/p>\n
Neighbors told Channel 11 they hope police find whoever is responsible and told us they all try to look out for one another.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just stay to myself, and we got neighbors \u2013 everybody knows everybody,\u201d said Terry Hall.<\/p>\n
