SCRANTON, LACKWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 A Scranton road is now reopened after being closed for a day after a hole opened in the road<\/a>, caused by a sewer line break.<\/p>\n

North Main Avenue was closed between Providence Road and Green Ridge Street after a sewer line caused a hole to open in the road.<\/p>\n

According to Alana Roberts of PA American Water, the emergency repairs are now complete.<\/p>\n

The completion of repairs is in time the weekend, as that section of North Main Avenue will be used as part of Sunday\u2019s Scranton Half Marathon.<\/p>\n
