Highs return to the 60s under mostly sunny skies today. Another day slightly above average tomorrow before temperatures make a run for the 80s!<\/p>\n

WE\u2019RE IN THE 70S. WILL BE BACK INTO THE 60S, BUT MORE SEASONABLE WITH DRY CONDITIONS BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW. IF YOU\u2019RE NOT A FAN OF THE SUMMER HEAT, YOU\u2019RE GOING TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS TODAY AND TOMORROW BECAUSE WE DO HAVE SOME 80S HEADED OUR WAY. COULD EVEN COME CLOSE TO RECORDS TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. WE HAVE A MAINLY DRY STRETCH, JUST A COUPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE WE\u2019RE GOING TO STAY MOSTLY DRY UNTIL WE GET INTO NEXT WEEKEND. HERE\u2019S OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES AROUND 9:00 IN THE MID 50S. A FEW CLOUDS WILL BE AROUND TO KICK OFF THE DAY, BUT PLENTY OF SUNSHINE EXPECTED. COOLER 5064 FOR YOUR HIGH. AND WE\u2019LL SEE TEMPERATURES FALLING BACK INTO THE UPPER 50S THIS EVENING. CLEAR SKIES CHILLY DOWN TO AROUND 40 DEGREES WITH LIGHT TO CALM WINDS. AND TOMORROW STILL PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. JUST A LITTLE MORE CLOUD COVER MIXING IN AND OUT. IT\u2019S ANOTHER COMFORTABLE DAY TO GET OUT AND ENJOY. A LITTLE BREEZY AND TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO UPPER 60S. AT THIS HOUR WE HAVE COOL READINGS TO THE NORTH IN THE 40S, BUT TO THE SOUTH AND EAST IT\u2019S BEEN MILD. THIS MORNING IN THE UPPER 50S, EVEN 61 STILL IN GETTYSBURG. BUT THERE IS SOME COOL AIR TO THE NORTH. WE\u2019VE GOT TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S AND 40S. AND I POINT THIS OUT BECAUSE OUR WIND DIRECTION IS NOW COMING IN FROM THE NORTH NORTHWEST. YESTERDAY WAS OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST. WE HAD THOSE WARM TEMPERATURES. BUT TODAY WINDS ARE COMING IN FROM THE NORTH NORTHWEST. AND YOU CAN SEE THEM A LITTLE ON THE BREEZY SIDE, 5 TO 15MPH. AND THERE ARE SOME GUSTS THIS MORNING AROUND 25 TO 30MPH. BUT THE WINDS WILL BE EASING UP AS WE GO THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS. YOU CAN SEE THEM CONTINUING TO DIE DOWN AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THAT 5:00 HOUR. NOW, HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES IS BUMPING UP AGAINST THE DEPARTING LOW PRESSURE OVER NEW ENGLAND. THAT\u2019S CREATING THAT TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT. THAT\u2019S WHY WE HAVE THOSE BREEZY CONDITIONS THIS MORNING. AND OF COURSE, THE WIND DIRECTION BRINGING IN THE COOLER READINGS. BUT THAT HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD IN AND HELP TO RELAX THE WINDS, KEEP OUR SKIES CLEAR. TONIGHT IT WILL BE A CALM START TO TOMORROW, BUT THEN THE WINDS PICK UP OUT OF THE SOUTHEAST AND LOOKING AT PLENTY OF SUNSHINE. BUT WE\u2019LL SEE SKIES BECOMING PARTLY SUNNY IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. A WARM FRONT WILL THEN PUSH TO THE NORTH TOMORROW NIGHT INTO MONDAY. AND THAT REALLY BRINGS IN SOME WARMER AIR. WE\u2019RE TALKING 70 ON MONDAY. I CAN\u2019T RULE OUT A SPOTTY SHOWER, BUT YOU CAN SEE MOST OF THE AREA IS DRY, SO JUST THAT SPOTTY CHANCE AS WE GO THROUGH THE DAY AND THEN IT\u2019S GOING TO BE ANOTHER WARM ONE ON TUESDAY WITH THOSE TEMPERATURES SOARING TO THE 80S, YOU CAN SEE 80 ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THE RECORD ON WEDNESDAY IS 87 DEGREES. THAT\u2019S A GOOD BET THAT WE COULD ACTUALLY TIE THAT RECORD OR EVEN BREAK IT 80 ON THURSDAY. A FRONT COMES THROUGH ON THURSDAY, BUT THE FRONT THAT COMES IN DOESN\u2019T HAVE A LOT OF MOISTURE WITH IT. SO SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS AT MOST. NOW, THE LAST TIME WE HAD THREE CONSECUTIVE 80 DEGREE DAYS IN HARRISBURG WAS BACK IN OCTOBER 4TH THROUGH THE SIXTH OF LAST YEAR. TEN DAY FORECAST SHOWS. The good weather sticks around Sunday with partly sunny and similar temperatures in the mid 60s. A shift into a warmer pattern begins Monday as highs jump into the upper 70s. Southwesterly winds bring in more cloud cover, and late day spotty showers can\u2019t be ruled out, so it\u2019s worth keeping an eye to the sky if you\u2019re outside. We flip the switch to early summer with highs soaring into the mid 80s Tuesday through Thursday. We will challenge records on Wednesday. Forecast is 86 and the record is 87 set in 1941. You\u2019ll notice an uptick in humidity with dew points near 60\u00b0 Not oppressive by any means but enough to make it feel a bit sticky, especially in the afternoons.
