PHILADELPHIA, PA \u2014 Overnight lane closures will impact both directions of Interstate 76 next week, as roadway and bridge repairs continue along the Schuylkill Expressway.<\/p>\n

PennDOT said lane closures will occur in both directions between the U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and I-676 interchanges, with traffic reduced during overnight operations.<\/p>\n

Drivers should plan extra time, expect delays, and consider alternate routes when traveling through the Schuylkill Expressway corridor at night.<\/p>\n

The work is part of a $37.9 million project to resurface nearly five miles of I-76, repair ramps, and rehabilitate more than 20 bridges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.<\/p>\n
