Officials said a may has been hospitalized after he showed up at a police station in Philly’s Germantown section early Monday after having been shot in the chest. <\/p>\n
According to police, the incident happened at about 12:15 a.m., after a man walked into the 39th Police District Station in Philly’s Germantown section after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. <\/p>\n
The man told officers there that he had been shot in an incident that happened along the 4500 block of Fern Hill Road shortly before he walked into the station.<\/p>\n
Officials said the man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.<\/p>\n
As of about 7:45 a.m. on Monday, police had not provided additional details on this incident.<\/p>\n
But, police said, officers were working to find a suspect and the exact scene of the shooting. <\/p>\n
An investigation, officials said, was underway. <\/p>\n
