Chris Rabb (D)\u00a0ahead of the May Democratic\u00a0primary for Pennsylvania\u2019s 3rd Congressional District.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cPennsylvania state Representative Chris Rabb is a social justice activist, an educator who helped unionize 1,500 adjunct professors and a legislator who has taken on Republicans and the billionaire class to create a democracy that works for everyone rather than just the wealthy few,\u201d\u00a0CPC PAC co-chairs Democratic Reps. Pramila Jayapal (Wash.), Greg Casar (Texas) and Maxwell Frost (Fla.) said in a statement first shared with The Hill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Rabb, in a separate statement, said he was \u201chonored\u201d to have the group\u2019s endorsement, adding that the \u201cCPC is on the frontlines in Congress fighting for the bold and transformative agenda working families need in Philly and across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The state legislator is running in a crowded primary to replace retiring Rep. Dwight Evans (D-Pa.) in Philadelphia. Other contenders include former state party chair and state Sen. Sharif Street (D) as well as Dr.\u00a0Ala Stanford, the founder of the Black Doctors Consortium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Monday\u2019s endorsement, however, underscores the clear establishment-progressive proxy battle playing out between Street and Rabb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Street has received endorsements from the Philadelphia\u00a0Democratic Party\u00a0and\u00a0former Gov.
