ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown police say a man is facing charges after a shooting Monday afternoon near 4th and Washington Streets.<\/p>\n
According to a press release from the police, around 1:15 p.m. officers were called to the area after several gunshots were reported. When patrol units arrived, they found spent shell casings in the 400 block of Washington Street.<\/p>\n
Investigators say a single suspect fired at a vehicle passing through the neighborhood. No one inside the vehicle was hit, and police say there is no evidence that anyone was injured.<\/p>\n
The suspect ran into a nearby home but was taken into custody shortly afterward. Officers say they also recovered the firearm used in the shooting inside the residence.<\/p>\n
Police identified the suspect as 24\u2011year\u2011old Raymond Manuel Cruz of Allentown. He is charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a license and recklessly endangering another person, according to the release.<\/p>\n
