Slingerlands Library Media Specialist Amanda Ingalls organized the effort and encouraged strong student participation throughout the campaign. Students were thrilled to cash in on an agreement they made with Principal Baker: as part of a pledge tied to the students meeting their goals, Principal Baker bravely dyed his hair green for the event and (even more) bravely ate a meal of green eggs and ham. The top 24 readers and fundraisers also took the stage to read “Green Eggs and Ham” aloud to their classmates.

The assembly was filled with laughter, pride, and excitement.
