Marion Gloria Kurtz, 99, of Reading, died April 10, 2026, at Mifflin Center, Cumru Township.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
She was the widow of Walter Stanley Kurtz, Sr. who died in 1989.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Born April 19, 1926, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Genevieve (Bozejewicz) Green.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Marion attended Reading High School, and eventually earned her GED at evening school in 1980.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
She was employed as a factory worker with Schoener King Kups, Rockwell International, and Letisse Handbags.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Marion was a member of St. Mary\u2019s R.C Church, Reading.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
She was a life member of the Polish Falcons.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Marion enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing solitaire on her phone, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchilld.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Surviving are her two children: Marcia L. Kurtz of Kenhorst and Walter S. Kurtz, Jr., husband of Kathy L. of Hamburg.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Jaime L. Kurtz; Ryan M., husband of Kelly L. Kurtz; Amy J. Kurtz; Angel M. Kurtz; Arica M, wife of Thomas Yamaguchi; and Adam M. Kurtz, husband of Madison S.; and by her four great granddaughters: Dominique N, wife of Andrew Morris, Annabelle,\u00a0Kennedy,\u00a0Aurora and three great grandsons:\u00a0Griffin, Sutton, Palmer and one great great granddaughter, Dakota.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Marion was preceded in death by her son, Michael R. \u201cButch\u201d Kurtz, husband of Mary A. Kurtz of Charlottesville, VA; her granddaughter, Kelly L. Kurtz and by her sister, June Lubas.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 18th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary\u2019s R.C. Church, 250 S. 12th Street, Reading, PA 19602.\u00a0 A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. in the church.\u00a0 Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.<\/p>\n
