\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Robert C. Dries, age 91, of Robesonia passed away on Sunday, April 5,<\/p>\n
2026.<\/p>\n
On June 13, 1953 he married Patricia A. (Merkel) Dries, who preceded him<\/p>\n
in death on October 15, 2021.<\/p>\n
He was born in Robesonia on August 1, 1934, a son of the late Fred and<\/p>\n
Ethel (Miller) Dries.<\/p>\n
He was a graduate of Robesonia High School and Lebanon Valley College.<\/p>\n
He proudly served in the U.S. Army.<\/p>\n
Bob retired from Lucent Technologies (formerly Bell Laboratories,<\/p>\n
Western Electric, and AT&T) as a Senior Engineer after more than 40<\/p>\n
years of employment. He was also a Heidelberg Township Supervisor for 27<\/p>\n
years.<\/p>\n
He was an active member of the Conrad Weiser Lions Club, where he served<\/p>\n
as past President and Treasurer. He was also a member of Trinity<\/p>\n
Lutheran Church, Robesonia, the JayCee\u2019s, Williamson Lodge #307 F.&A.M.,<\/p>\n
Womelsdorf, and was a past volunteer fireman with Pioneer Hose Co.,<\/p>\n
Robesonia.<\/p>\n
He is survived by a son, Robert C. \u201cChuck\u201d Dries, Jr. (Linda); a<\/p>\n
daughter, Linda L. McAllister (Tim); a sister, Julia \u201cJulie\u201d Christ<\/p>\n
(Daniel); a daughter-in-law, Carolyn A. Dries; 6 grandchildren; 11 great<\/p>\n
grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
He was also predeceased by 2 brothers, Leonard and Donald Dries; and a<\/p>\n
sister, Marjorie Troxel.<\/p>\n
Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:30 am at Cole<\/p>\n
Funeral Home, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia.<\/p>\n
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at<\/p>\n
Cole Funeral Home.<\/p>\n
Interment will follow at Heidelberg Cemetery, Robesonia.<\/p>\n
