The city is closing many roads for the NFL Draft, but there\u2019s a smooth way to get there much easier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The New Castle Area Transit Authority can take you to the NFL Draft. \u00a0Pittsburgh is already encouraging fans not to drive. It\u2019s just too busy. A bus ride can make it much simpler for you to get there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, listen, everybody\u2019s excited around here about the NFL draft, and we\u2019ve gotten a lot of phone calls down here. They\u2019re very excited to be part of it, and it\u2019s a big deal,\u201d said Mark Courson, operations manager for the New Castle Transit Authority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Pittsburgh is expected to receive about 500,000 visitors. New Castle Transit will have four buses running special routes to the Steel City. You can board at the main terminal, the transfer center, and the 422 Park and Ride. You\u2019ll be taken to the Ross Park and Ride, which is a central place to catch a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus to the draft.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou would board PRT, and their schedule runs about every 15 minutes down there during this whole process,\u201d Courson said. <\/p>\n<p>Many roads will be closed during the draft. This is a way to help local fans get there. The ride is $4. A New Castle Transit bus can hold up to 71 riders. The service is available on Thursday and Friday only during the NFL Draft. At the same time, it\u2019s dropping the ride to Rivers Casino just for that week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cBecause there\u2019s so much congestion down there, that is, we\u2019re just discontinuing that route, and we\u2019re going to provide this other service, because getting in and out of Pittsburgh is definitely going to be a challenge,\u201d Courson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A challenge that you can navigate more easily by taking a bus ride. <\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
