ALLENTOWN, Pa. \u2014 A Bethlehem man was injured early Friday when the SUV he was driving rolled over as he fled troopers, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

State Police about 2:40 a.m. tried to stop the SUV in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, but it fled south on Airport Road into Allentown, the agency said in a news release.<\/p>\n

The SUV crashed and rolled over onto properties in the 800 block of North Irving Street.<\/p>\n

The driver, only identified Friday as a 51-year-old man from Bethlehem, was taken to a local hospital; his condition was not immediately available.<\/p>\n

State troopers and Allentown police are investigating the crash, which closed a block of North Irving Street for several hours Friday morning.<\/p>\n

That crash was at least the second this year that occurred in residential areas during state police pursuits. A chase in early February ended in a fiery crash in West Bethlehem.<\/p>\n

Authorities allege an Allentown man fled from troopers before crashing into parked cars, causing one to catch fire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Devon J. Legrand, 38, pleaded guilty to three charges related to the Feb. 3 crash; he faces five charges, including fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, stemming from his Dec. 28 arrest by state troopers, court records show.<\/p>\n
