The Pittsburgh Penguins assigned forwards Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Avery Hayes, Ville Koivunen, Joona Koppanen and Rutger McGroarty to Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL) on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The team did not announce the transactions but they were reflected on the NHL\u2019s media website and the AHL\u2019s website.<\/p>\n
Harvey-Pinard was recalled to the NHL club on Tuesday and made his debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins in their regular season finale, a 7-5 road loss to the St. Louis Blues. He did not record a point.<\/p>\n
With the AHL club, Harvey-Pinard is the team\u2019s third-leading scorer with 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 64 games.<\/p>\n
Hayes scored a pair of goals in Tuesday\u2019s loss. In 16 NHL games, Hayes has five goals while averaging 11:10 of ice time per contest.<\/p>\n
Wilkes-Barre\/Scranton\u2019s second-leading scorer, Hayes has 38 points (23 goals, 15 assists) in 14 games.<\/p>\n
Koivunen has played in 39 NHL games and posted seven points (two goals, five assists) while clocking 12:44 per contest.<\/p>\n
He has been far more prolific at the AHL level, generating 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 32 games.<\/p>\n
McGroarty has split the season between the NHL and AHL rosters. With Pittsburgh, McGroarty has appeared in 24 games and scored six points (three goals, three assists) and averaged 11:58 of ice time.<\/p>\n
Over 28 AHL contests, McGroarty has 30 points (eight goals, 22 assists).<\/p>\n
Koppanen has dressed for 13 NHL games, recorded a single assist and clocked 12:08 of ice time per contest.<\/p>\n
