A significant police presence could be seen along Old York Road in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane section on Wednesday, officials said, after a man barricaded himself inside a home.<\/p>\n

According to police, in an afternoon update, a barricade was declared at about 10:19 a.m. after a man confined himself inside a property along the 7000 block of Old York Road. <\/p>\n

However, police did not say if the man was sought for any crimes, nor did they say if he was armed in any way.<\/p>\n

“While the individual\u2019s motives remain unclear, it is not yet confirmed whether the male has any weapons,” police said in a statement on the incident. <\/p>\n

As seen at about 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police vehicles had closed the roadway on that block, while officers gathered in the middle of the roadway.<\/p>\n

Also, a large, black SWAT vehicle could be seen parked along the sidewalk as officers trained their guns towards a property on the block.<\/p>\n

At about 1:49 p.m., police announced the man involved in this barricade situation had been apprehended.<\/p>\n

Officials have not said if he will be charged in this incident. <\/p>\n

Though, police did note that no one was harmed during the course of this situation. <\/p>\n
