The old landside terminal at Pittsburgh International Airport has been vacant since the new terminal opened last fall, but it could make a roaring comeback\u2026 as a movie production location.<\/p>\n
Now called \u201cTerminal P\u201d, the 440,000-square-foot, three-story space is being billed as a place for a \u201cblockbuster film\u201d, television show or digital content to be filmed.<\/p>\n
On its website, Terminal P also promotes the terminal\u2019s 60-foot ceilings, close proximity to the new airport, nearby hotel and 5,000 film professionals in the Pittsburgh are ready to work.<\/p>\n
The project is part of the $1.57 billion renovation of the Airport.<\/p>\n
Actor, singer, writer, director and Pittsburgh native Billy ports says the space will \u201crival the world\u2019s best.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pittsburgh has gained attention as a place for Hollywood productions to come for filming, seeing success over the past few decades with shows like \u201cMindhunter\u201d and currently, \u201cMayor of Kingstown\u201d.<\/p>\n
Hit HBO Max show, \u201cThe PITT\u201d is mainly filmed in Los Angeles but all exterior shots are filmed in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n
Movies that have filmed in Pittsburgh over the years include, \u201cA Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood\u201d, \u201cAdventureland\u201d, \u201cJack Reacher\u201d, \u201cThe Perks of Being a Wallflower\u201d, \u201cFences\u201d and more.<\/p>\n
