PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week on FYI Philly, we savor the views at Lucky Duck, enjoy a midnight pasta party, meet a surfer turned pizza maker and explore the history behind the iconic Bellevue Hotel.<\/p>\n
Lucky Duck is a new eatery along the Delaware River waterfront. The restaurant offers an approachable menu with an American Bistro style food with a creative collection of cocktails and brews.<\/p>\n
The space is part of the Rivermark Apartments on Columbus Boulevard, which took the place of Festival Pier. The Lucky Duck was part of the build out that includes a Sprouts Grocery store and the residential space.<\/p>\n
The Lucky Duck has a tavern atmosphere with a wall of windows that overlook the river. The setting includes a nook for darts, a claw machine with rubber ducks and a pizza window for late night slices after the kitchen closes.<\/p>\n
The indoor space includes nearly 70 seats and will be complemented by patio seating that will double to occupancy of the eatery.<\/p>\n
Lucky Duck<\/a> | Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a> Midnight Pasta is a weekly pasta party hosted by Natalia Lepore Hagan at Building 39 of the Frankford Arsenal. Guests will make their own pasta and then enjoy a 5-course dinner featuring the pasta they just made.<\/p>\n Natalia launched the business two years ago. She spent years working on Broadway as an actress touring the country. Her second act provides a new stage where she can entertain the masses.<\/p>\n The parties include a complimentary cocktail.<\/p>\n Natalia teaches a 45-minute pasta making session where she teaches two shapes of pasta. The pasta is collected and then cooked into a 5-course meal that includes farm-to-table offerings created by Chef Chelsea.<\/p>\n The evening is meant to bring people together in a party-like setting. Expect music, dancing and a family style meal. The 47th addition of the race is May 3, 2026 and Orangetheory has some advice for runners as they get ready for race day.<\/p>\n The Orangetheory team trains all levels of fitness and activity. They also have ways for runners who might be interested in next year’s race to get ready.<\/p>\n Orangetheory<\/a> | Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a><\/p>\n Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run<\/a> | Facebook <\/a>| Instagram<\/a><\/p>\n At Freehand Supply, owners Kim Quinn and Russell Edling are proud to sell high-quality art materials.<\/p>\n The two friends encourage creativity at their store by focusing on craft items, gifts, and drawing and painting mediums.<\/p>\n Along with their unique art inventory, you’ll find a rotating selection of local artists’ work on the walls, available for purchase.<\/p>\n While they offer an array of art supplies, there is also a studio downstairs where they host free art workshops called Thursday Night Art Club.<\/p>\n The owners are both alumni of The Tyler School of Art, but became friends at design agency Blue Cadet. After leaving the agency, the two reconnected during the pandemic to pursue their dreams of opening an art store.<\/p>\n In March 2025, the two opened the doors to Freehand Supply and are excited to provide art materials to fine arts and hobbyists in the Fishtown Neighborhood.<\/p>\n Freehand Supply<\/a> | Instagram<\/a> | Facebook <\/a> As Philadelphia celebrates America’s 250th birthday, the historic Bellevue Hotel is inviting the public inside with free guided history tours.<\/p>\n Opened in 1904, the Grand Dame of Broad Street blends European-inspired, chateau-esque architecture with stories of presidents, politics, and power.
