This weekend, Love City Brewing<\/a> is celebrating eight years in business, and everyone is invited to join the celebration with an all-day party titled \u2018Magic 8: The Future is Brewing.\u2019<\/p>\n

This \u201cmystical, magical event\u201d will be held on Saturday, April 18, with festivities in full swing from open to close. Highlights include free tarot readings (from 6 to 8 p.m.), specialty beer cocktails for $8, custom fortune cookies and Magic 8 balls scattered throughout the space to help you determine what to order. Additionally, Love City will spin a wheel to reveal a new discounted beer eight minutes past every hour.<\/p>\n

Drinks will be available to purchase from Love City Brewing\u2019s beverage menu, while food will be available to purchase from their on-site food truck partner, Viva Pizza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s not all Love City is celebrating this year: The brand is putting down new roots in Manayunk<\/a>. The Philadelphia brewery is expanding beyond its Callowhill home for the first time, opening a two-story tasting room at 4323 Main Street.<\/p>\n

Slated to debut this spring, Love City Manayunk will blend a neighborhood bar with vintage character, marking a major milestone for co-owners Melissa and Kevin Walter\u2014and a welcome addition to one of the city\u2019s most vibrant corridors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been looking for the right opportunity to expand for a long time,\u201d says Melissa. \u201cWe were very conscious about choosing a neighborhood that has great energy and foot traffic, as well as one that would allow our current location at 1023 Hamilton Street to continue to be successful \u2013 Manayunk checks all those boxes for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Inside the expansive, two-story, 5,884-square-foot space, Love City Manayunk will feature a tasting room, a full bar (with room for a capacity of 75), plus a retail and merch area where guests can shop for brews, t-shirts, hats, and more.<\/p>\n

The design of it all pays homage to the historic building, which most recently housed a like-minded woman-owned brewery, Fat Lady Brewing, as well as a Woolworth\u2019s retail store, a 5 & 10 shop, and a family business of collectibles and antiques.<\/p>\n

The second floor of the new venue will act as an event space, and can be booked for private events, parties, live music concerts, and more. Eventually, Philadelphians will also find local vendor markets that Love City Brewing is known for hosting.<\/p>\n
