Major championship golf returns to the Philadelphia area for the 108th PGA Championship. The championship is being held at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Delaware County, for the first time since 1962.<\/p>\n

The PGA has released a Spectator Guide<\/a> to help attendees navigate the week. The highlights:<\/p>\n There will not be any on-site parking at Aronimink. Visitors are encouraged to take SEPTA\u2019s Regional Rail to Paoli Station, where shuttles will transport them directly to the championship entrance. Rideshares will also have a designated lot with shuttle service to the course. Those driving to the event must use one of two pre-paid public parking lots in Delaware County, each with shuttle access.Use the PGA Championships app for tickets, navigation and real-time updates.All on-site purchases are cashless. Just about everyone is getting in on the fun, so let\u2019s focus on some of the big organizers.<\/p>\n Philly\u2019s tried and true Wawa Welcome America festival brings 16 days of events<\/a> to the semiquincentennial. <\/p>\n About 10,000 people are expected to march in what is being billed as the largest-ever Independence Day Parade in Philadelphia\u2019s history (which will actually be held on July 3).<\/p>\n Also on July 3 is the Philly Pops concert at Independence Mall, accompanied by Idina Menzel. Queen Latifah will join the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers\u2019 Chorus on July 2, and gospel singer Kirk Franklin will front a 250-voice choir drawn from local churches on June 28.
