{"id":167745,"date":"2026-04-16T17:52:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T17:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/167745\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T17:52:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T17:52:09","slug":"e-cigarette-vape-makers-must-be-certified-by-pennsylvania-ags-office-per-new-legislation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/167745\/","title":{"rendered":"E-cigarette, vape makers must be certified by Pennsylvania AG\u2019s office, per new legislation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/4834e38b6d3fc3e40d76419d9e35fc7e.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Legislation is now in effect requiring e-cigarette and vape manufacturers to be certified by the Pennsylvania attorney general\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Act 57 of 2025 requires certification for every manufacturer whose products contain nicotine and are sold in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In a release April 9, the AG\u2019s office said it will create a public directory for all certified manufacturers on its website by June 20.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The law will make sure e-cigarettes that contain nicotine and have FDA approval or meet other requirements are listed on the directory, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe commend legislative leaders for taking\u00a0action\u00a0to\u00a0protect children and other Pennsylvanians from consumption\u00a0of\u00a0unregulated products,\u201d\u00a0Pennsylvania Attorney\u00a0General\u00a0Dave Sunday said. \u201cThe Legislature has provided my\u00a0office\u00a0with\u00a0a variety\u00a0of\u00a0tools,\u00a0including significant penalties, the ability\u00a0to\u00a0seize unlisted products, and cost recovery from illegal\u00a0actors, that will help us keep these products from\u00a0being marketed\u00a0in\u00a0Pennsylvania.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Certification forms are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attorneygeneral.gov\/ends\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:www.attorneygeneral.gov\/ends\/;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;www.attorneygeneral.gov\/ends\/&quot;}\" class=\"link \">www.attorneygeneral.gov\/ends\/<\/a>.
