City Council Tuesday issued a proclamation to former KDKA Radio talk show host Chris Moore, who retired in February after more than 30 years on the station.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank you very much for this award, it means the world to me,\u201d Moore said, thanking his family, friends and listeners.<\/p>\n
Council approved a proclamation saying Moore has made “an incalculable impact on Pittsburgh’s journalism…radio and culture.” <\/p>\n
\u201cI think I\u2019ve shined a light on some of the positive things that this community has had to offer, especially in the African American community,\u201d said Moore.<\/p>\n
The proclamation recognizes Moore’s work in broadcasting as well as his support of his wife’s New Horizon Theater.<\/p>\n
