Louisiana First<\/a>) \u2014 A routine traffic stop in Louisiana led to the arrest of a Texas man wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\nA West Baton Rouge Parish deputy stopped a commercial box truck traveling westbound on I-10 around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday for traffic violations. The sheriff\u2019s office reported the driver\u2019s identity as Ameer Nassar, 25, of Houston, Texas, who was wanted by Pennsylvania State Police in connection with a Bethel Township hit-and-run crash killing a 33-year-old man on April 10.<\/p>\n
According to the West Baton Rouge Sheriff\u2019s Office, the truck Nassar was driving at the time of the stop was linked to the crash.<\/p>\n
Nassar was taken into custody and booked as a fugitive. Authorities said he has since been transferred to the custody of the Pennsylvania State Police.<\/p>\n
