CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) \u2014 A stretch of I-81 south is shut down in Silver Spring Township due to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries, according to emergency dispatchers.<\/p>\n

PennDOT reports all southbound lanes are closed between Exit 59: PA 581 East to US 11 – Camp Hill and Exit 57: PA 114 – Mechanicsburg. <\/p>\n

Dispatchers said the crash was reported just after 5 p.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n

Dispatch also said there were injuries reported, but they were unable to confirm how many or how badly anyone was hurt. It’s also unknown at this time how many vehicles were involved in the crash. <\/p>\n

Silver Spring Township police are on scene along fire agencies like Silver Spring Community Fire Company.<\/p>\n

Another local fire company, New Kingston Fire Company, warned drivers<\/a> to expect “serious delays,” noting that Route 581 and at I-81 is also impacted. <\/p>\n
