As warmer weather returns, Philadelphia\u2019s outdoor dining scene<\/a> is in full swing with rooftops, beer gardens, and waterfront spaces across the city.<\/p>\n

Assembly Rooftop Lounge<\/p>\n

This sky-high locale offers some prime views of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, along with firepits for nighttime seating and a seasonal menu. Highlights include the Rose Gold Margarita, margherita flatbread, mushroom toast and dark chocolate fondue, along with other sips and bites. A fun way to check out everything Assembly has to offer is through its annual Skyline Soir\u00e9e, set for Friday, May 1, from 6 to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

The event will feature a premium open bar with new cocktails like the Garden Party, Thyme After Thyme, and Peach Orchard Sour, alongside treats like lobster rolls, salmon cakes, and caviar, plus interactive stations and desserts. The evening will also feature live entertainment (including an electric violinist) plus, extras like a 360-degree photo booth, floral installations, Patr\u00f3n snow cones and take-home swag. El Techo<\/p>\n

El Techo\u2014perched atop the Motto Hotel\u2014pairs panoramic city views with volcanic stone-ground tortillas, agave-forward cocktails, and a retractable roof that makes dining here enjoyable year-round. But it certainly shines in the sunnier seasons.<\/p>\n

On the menu, Philadelphians can find sippers like a Mezcal Margarita, Paloma, Ranch Water, a delightful fruity sipper dubbed the Mango Mango, a series of tequila concoctions, plus plenty of wine, beer and non-alcoholic options. Bite-wise, visitors can order up C\u00f3ctel de Camar\u00f3n, a variety of tacos, fresh Guacamole, a parade of salsas (spanning from smoky to sweet and everything in between), Queso Fundido and house-made Chicharr\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Independence Beer Garden<\/p>\n

Outdoor diners are in luck, IBG has officially opened for its 2026 season. Located just steps from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the space boasts over 20,000 square feet with four distinct seating areas featuring picnic tables, vintage garden chairs, cozy Adirondack chairs, plus two bars, a large projector TV, and lots of games to play including giant Connect Four, Jenga and baggo.<\/p>\n

Locals can mark their calendars for IBG Fest: Kicking off at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 24, the evening will feature vendors, a DJ, and a Phillies watch party starting at 7:15 p.m.<\/p>\n

PHS Pop-Up Gardens<\/p>\n

Now open for the sunny season, Morgan\u2019s Pier is celebrating its 15th season in 2026. Set along the Delaware River with views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the lively outdoor space features a reclaimed wood deck, colorful seating, lush plantings, multiple bars, and a dance floor. Open through October, the venue offers daily entertainment including live music, DJs, Quizzo, Yappy Hours, and more, with a full schedule available online.<\/p>\n

Food-wise, crowds can find bites like burgers, sandwiches, tacos, pizzas, and shareable snacks like crab pretzels, birria egg rolls, wings and loaded fries. Signature drinks this year include their limited-edition Woodermelon Ricky, frozen margaritas, Mainstay Pier Beer, and bottle service options.<\/p>\n

Liberty Point<\/p>\n

Liberty Point offers an expansive, multi-level waterfront experience with 25,000 square feet of outdoor space and room for up to 1,400 guests. Located along the Delaware River near the Independence Seaport Museum, the venue boasts three levels and multiple bars.<\/p>\n

The food and drink program leans into summery fare and tropical-inspired cocktails, including a $12 crush menu, tiki-style drinks served in playful glassware, and shareables like pretzels, wings, and cheesesteak spring rolls, plus seafood dishes, tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas.<\/p>\n

Unleashed: Bark & Beer at Craft Hall<\/p>\n

This one is for Philadelphians and their four-legged friends. At the entrance to Craft Hall, Unleashed Bark and Beer offers a unique dog park and beer garden where pups and their owners can relax together in a fenced-in, turf-covered space with plenty of seating. While here, guests can enjoy cocktails and a wide selection of Mainstay craft beers brewed on-site, all delivered right to their seats while dogs roam and play with access to water bowls, toys, and open running areas. Around the corner, Craft Hall\u2019s Puppy Porch also provides an additional outdoor dining option, allowing guests to enjoy a meal alongside their pups.<\/p>\n

Set to open on Friday, May 1, this seasonal locale is located in the courtyard of what used to be Haviland & Furness Halls. As the venue officially notes, Frankie\u2019s Summer Club pays homage to architect Frank Furness\u2019 spirit of creativity and community with Italian-inspired appetizers by Chef Michael Ferreri of Irwin\u2019s, cocktails, natural wine, and soft serve.
