Spectrum on Thursday announced a donation of $1,000 to Old Erie Emergency Services through the company\u2019s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.<\/p>\n
The funds will help Old Erie Emergency Services purchase a new power loading system and stretcher for its ambulance. The equipment will enable crews to load patients more quickly, safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are grateful to Spectrum for their generous $1,000 grant to Old Erie Emergency Services,\u201d Casey Brim, director of operations, Old Erie Emergency Services, said in a statement. \u201cThis support helps us continue providing critical emergency response services and resources to our community. Partnerships like this make a real difference in helping us serve and protect our neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we provide support to vital community organizations where our local employees are already volunteering their time and talent,\u201d Tim Hodge, regional vice president, field operations for the Northeast for Charter Communications, said in a statement. \u201cTogether, we\u2019re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across America.\u201d<\/p>\n
Spectrum Employee Community Grants has provided funding to nearly 650 local nonprofits in 33 states throughout the company\u2019s service area since its inception in July 2019.<\/p>\n
Recipients deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company\u2019s more than 101,000 U.S. employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.<\/p>\n
