BETHEL TWP., Pa. – Authorities have announced an arrest one week after a truck driver was killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on I-78 in northern Berks County.<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) obtained an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Ameer Nassar, who was located in Louisiana.<\/p>\n

On April 10th, 33-year-old Phillip Daniel Henderson of Bessemer, Florida, was struck and killed by a passing box truck while adjusting the load on his tractor trailer that was pulled to the shoulder of I-78 in Bethel Township.<\/p>\n

Police located 25-year-old Ameer Nassar in Louisiana<\/p>\n

Berks County Sheriff’s Office <\/p>\n

The striking truck failed to stop and then fled the scene. Police say Nassar was the driver of that truck.<\/p>\n

PSP investigators traveled to Louisiana and processed the alleged hit-and-run vehicle.<\/p>\n

Nassar was transported back to Pennsylvania to face charges of accidents involving injury or death, failure to render aid and related offenses.<\/p>\n
