Multiple recovery vehicles are staged on the Milroy onramp and a tow truck is parked by the damaged guardrail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/mifflincountyh2o.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Mifflin County Municipal Authority;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" data-yga=\"{&quot;yLinkElement&quot;:&quot;context_link&quot;,&quot;yModuleName&quot;:&quot;content-canvas&quot;,&quot;yLinkText&quot;:&quot;Mifflin County Municipal Authority&quot;}\" class=\"link \">Mifflin County Municipal Authority<\/a> (MCMA) alerted residents that water production has stopped at the Laurel Creek Filtration Plant and also issued a mandatory water use restriction due to potential hazardous material caused by the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cOur technical team is conducting intensive water quality testing. MCMA is working closely with the PA Department of Environmental Protection to monitor the situation,\u201d a statement from the municipal authority read.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The authority explained that the advisory was issued out of caution for the overturned commercial truck in the reservoir that could potentially contaminate the water system. They added that there is currently no confirmed contamination of the water.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Residents in the affected area are being told to conserve their water for essential uses only.
